10% of the proceeds from all rainbow earrings will go to the Trevor Project which is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ youth.
In French, plique à jour translates to "letting in daylight." Once I saw out the design from a thick sheet of fine silver, I fill the open cells with transparent powdered glass (enamel) then fire the piece in the kiln. This creates a beautiful stained glass effect. These earrings glow with the sunlight creating a unique piece of wearable art. This piece was made in my studio in Redwood City, California.
The earrings dangle from sterling silver ear wires- I never use nickel or plated metals. I include a pro polishing pad so that you can keep all of your silver jewelry tarnish-free and bright!
